The Draw.

I had just started working at ivory Tree Game lodge about 1 year and 3 months we had this amazing sighting and this is the story!

It was a Tuesday morning. There came a update over the radio informing us that there were two male lions walking down Tau drive but there interesting thing was that there were as well two lions at tsween drive moklobo junction, which is about maybe a kilometer from there other lions. Now the lions walking down the road are the two dominated males of central pride (Ketumetsi and Lebala Bontle) which territory this whole event plays out in, the other two lions are the two dominate lions of eastern pride (Leru and Fisa)

Now the two intruders were vocalizing in the other males territory and didn't seem to know the that they were on their way down towards them, the two dominate males were very quite which surprised all of us. the one male ketumetsi looked in bad shape he had a black eye( which he still has) and a few scares and did seem in the mood to fight, but Lebala Bontle was definitely in the mood because he kept moving toward the two intruders but had to turn around to make sure Ketumetsi was still behind him, mean while the eastern boys were still vocalizing like nothing was wrong.

By this time the rangers started picking sides between one another because the rangers have their favorite prides and most of them sided with central and a few of us with eastern including me.

The whole time it seemed to us that Lebala Bontle was trying to convince Ketumets that they should go from the intruder. Then In a moment it seemed like Ketumetsi sided with Lebala Bontle and decided to go for it and started heading straight to the eastern boys and started vocalizing as well the eastern boys stopped vocalizing and started to move away from the centrals fast.

Me, Jaun and Dwain followed the eastern boys down into their territory were they started vocalizing again then they turned and started running back towards the centrals and roaring while they were running.

While Halye and Steve stayed with Centrals and they told us that when they eastern males started roaring and running toward them, they turned and ran further into their territory while eastern move with quiet a speed towards them.

Then the centrals did the same thing that eastern did when they were comfortable into their territory they turned and moved towards the eastern in which in that time eastern turned and moved back into their territory with the centrals on their heels.

This whole time this toke place on the road or just off it so the visual was amazing and the sound was deafening.

At that stage we had to leave because our guests were leave at certain time and we were pushing the boundary but it was worth it
